The Cyphers also known as Freestyles, are up and running in the Netherlands.
It all started in the U.S in the 80's with MC's like Big Daddy Kane. In the 80's, the MC's wrote freestyles and spitt them on a improvised beat to show their skills "free of style".
Later on in the 90's, groups like Freestyle Fellowship used the term to improvise lyrics on the spot to battle against other groups/artists. the battles didnt use a particular subject but how hard can you come with your lyrics to make the other artist choke.
And now...the Netherlands take a step into the Cyphers,
